Jim brings a record of entrepreneurship, growth, marketing acumen, continuous improvement and solid financial stewardship to his role as president of BOSS Engineering Logistics. Since entering the transportation industry in 1985 as a staff analyst for Consolidated Freightways, he went on to serve as controller/general manager for Container Freight Transportation before joining Landstar in 1996, where he served in a number of leadership positions, including: chief financial officer and eventually president of a newly formed logistics division; president of Landstar’s Global Logistics business unit; and co-chief operating officer of Landstar. Jim is active in the North Florida community, where he chairs the Jacksonville Florida Mayor’s International Committee for Growth, is a member of the Steering Committee of the University of North Florida Transportation & Logistics Program, and is active in the local chapter of the Council of Logistics Management.


Executive Vice President

A third-generation transportation executive, Barry Moody brings a long and successful heritage of transportation industry experience within his family and a career that spans 45 years of executive management in LTL truckload operations and sales management. He started out as a dock worker for various LTL carriers to earn his way through college. Upon graduation, he began his career as a management trainee with Roadway Express. Barry has served in several leadership positions, including chief operating officer of Trism and executive vice president of enterprise services for Universal. Civic participation includes being president of the school board for his children’s school and executive positions with his church as well as other non-profit fraternal groups.

Chris Sasser - BEL


Vice President, Business Development

Chris Sasser’s more than 20 years of experience in the transportation logistics industry includes a broad background in supply chain logistics, including maritime operations, port/terminal operations, international shipping, warehousing, rail, and domestic transportation.  Before joining BOSS Engineering Logistics as vice president of business development, Chris served for eight years as vice president of operations for Bennett Distribution Services, where he managed multiple warehouses and distribution centers and a multi-modal facility specializing in over-dimensional freight and project cargo consolidation. Prior to BDS, he managed the main U.S. export hub in Savannah, GA, for Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines – the world’s largest Ro / Ro and breakbulk carrier and directed import/export operations in nine major U.S. ports for a large multi-dimensional OEM customer. Chris is an active member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and the Warehousing Education and Research Council.


Senior Director, Supply Chain Solutions

Abhijit Joshi (AJ) offers more than a decade of experience in supply chain management. He is Six Sigma green belt-certified and brings expertise to his current role of senior director of supply chain solutions in process development, logistics optimization, network design, materials management, inventory planning and reconciliation, and demand planning.  He has served in various positions in a number of third-party logistics companies, where he gained experience with a breadth of transportation/warehouse management systems and logistics optimization tools. AJ has developed many engineering teams from ground up to best-in-class performance and has a strong background in inbound and outbound transportation network management, warehouse and yard management – operations and systems. He has a graduate degree in industrial engineering with a supply chain focus.
